The NDI Discovery app’s name is slightly misleading: it still relies on running the NDI Discovery service in the background, or somewhere else on your network.
Instead of relying on mDNS (which is fine for small networks but gets flaky as you scale), Discovery gives you a live, centralized view of every NDI source on your network (connected to your discovery server).
